May Weymouth Library Exhibition: Spool Knitting Display

This display features a variety of spool-knitted chair pads created by Joan Nelson Her technique is a new way of spool knitting using an old-fashioned craft with a modern spool hook.


May 21 to 31 55+ Games

Darts, Skip-bo, Crokinole, bowling, cribbage, scrabble, bridge, auction, and Washer Toss. Dates and times are on the Poster. Venues are through Digby. Contact DARC.


Fri May 31 The Fall Guy

7:30 pm Kings Theatre, Film, Hollywood, Action, Comedy. PG. $10.95 Adult, $6.95 Youth. He’s a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment.

Wed Jun 5 Magical Science

6-7pm Digby Library Discover a magical force that will levitate particles. Scatter light and create illusions that will thrill your audience. Experiment with colourful teas and unusual potions on this Discovery Zone magical science adventure! This program is being provided by Scientists in Schools through funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). This program is for children aged 4 to 12. Register no later than Saturday, June 1 by contacting the library.

Sat Aug 24 Jah’mila

7:30pm Kings Theatre. Live Music. $35 Adult $5 Youth Jah’Mila is a reggae singer from Kingston, Jamaica, now based in Atlantic Canada. With a deep-rooted love for traditional roots reggae, her music blends the vibrant spirit of Jamaican roots music with elements of jazz and modern soul.


Mon Aug 26 – Fri Aug 30 Musical Camp for Youth

Kings Theatre. 5-day, all day. for Youth ages 8-16 with Andrew Morrisey. $225 + tax per participant for the week. Participants are asked to bring their own snacks, lunch, and beverages. There will be a Final Performances on the last day for friends and family.
