Canada Day Celebrations - in Weymouth (of course!), and Digby, and Clementsvale and Bear River!

Fri Jun 28 DARC Kick Off Summer

11am-2pm 27 Shreve Street, Digby. Free-will offering. Bouncy castles, bubble tent, face painting, carnival games, cash BBQ, magic show, balloon animals.

Fri Jun 28 Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

7:30pm Kings Theatre Film Action, Adventure, SciFi 14A 10.95 Adult $6.95 Youth. Snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers, young Furiosa falls into the hands of a great biker horde led by the warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel, presided over by the Immortan Joe. As the two tyrants fight for dominance, Furiosa soon finds herself in a nonstop battle to make her way home.

6pm King’s Theatre Live Show, puppetry. $20 Adults $10 Youth A chance to see the work of five extraordinary Nova Scotian puppet-makers and puppeteers on stage with three puppet plays. The two before intermission are for all ages. The one after intermission is for mature audiences.

  • Rocket Shapes Scavenger Hunt – Jul 9 to 20 All day Digby Library. Children aged 3 to 8 can participate in a scavenger hunt to find paper shapes needed to make a rocket craft during open hours. They can assemble the rocket and try flying it.
