Weymouth Library March Art Exhibition – Scenes from the Acadian Shore

This photography exhibit features the beautiful work of Catherine LeBlanc, featuring vistas from the Clare and Weymouth area. The exhibit can be viewed during open hours in March. The photos were taken using an iPhone. LeBlanc loves cloudy skies paired with water views, of which the region has many.

Join two-time JUNO Award-winning Oji-Cree artist Aysanabee (Ace-in-abbey) on his first-ever Canadian headlining tour, Now & Then. Following two incredible support tours with Allison Russell and Dan Mangan, as well as countless global festival appearances, it is now time for Aysanabee to take center stage and share his powerful music—including the radio hit singles “Nomads,” “We Were Here,” and “Somebody Else”—along with his engaging storytelling.

Wed Mar 19 I’m Still Here

Fri Mar 28 Last Breath

Wed Apr 16 Singing Back The Buffalo

10:30 am King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Free. Film, documentary. Decades after they were driven almost to extinction, the fight to restore North America’s buffalo population continues to rage on. Activists in Indigenous communities across the continent are determined to restore the buffalo’s place on the Great Plains, knowing that they are essential to the survival of our ecosystem.

12:30pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Free. Film, animation, comedy, family. Eleven-year-old orphan Félicie has a dream to go to Paris and become a dancer. Her best friend Victor has a dream of his own: to become a famous inventor. In a leap of faith, Victor and Félicie leave their orphanage in pursuit of their passions.


Wed Apr 16 Bergers (Shepherds)

2:45 King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Free film, drama in French. Tired of city life, a Québecois man leaves everything behind to pursue his dream of becoming a shepherd in rural France, where he must work illegally at a craft he knows almost nothing about. While the work proves more difficult than he’d imagined, everything changes when he wins over the like-minded Élise with his dreams of a pastoral life together. The two commit to a summer-long journey together in the mountains – with 800 sheep, and all the challenges that come with them.

Wed Apr 16 Long Time Running

7pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Documentary. Long Time Running chronicles the emotional and epic 2016 tour that The Tragically Hip embarked on after iconic frontman Gord Downie announced that he had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Intimate moments, behind-the-scenes and on-stage footage, personal interviews with the band and close friends reveal the heart-breaking final performances of that now-legendary final tour.
