This Week's Events (Mar 14 - 21) (posters)
Weymouth Library March Art Exhibition – Scenes from the Acadian Shore
This photography exhibit features the beautiful work of Catherine LeBlanc, featuring vistas from the Clare and Weymouth area. The exhibit can be viewed during open hours in March. The photos were taken using an iPhone. LeBlanc loves cloudy skies paired with water views, of which the region has many.

10:30 am King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Free. Film, documentary. Decades after they were driven almost to extinction, the fight to restore North America’s buffalo population continues to rage on. Activists in Indigenous communities across the continent are determined to restore the buffalo’s place on the Great Plains, knowing that they are essential to the survival of our ecosystem.

2:45 King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Free film, drama in French. Tired of city life, a Québecois man leaves everything behind to pursue his dream of becoming a shepherd in rural France, where he must work illegally at a craft he knows almost nothing about. While the work proves more difficult than he’d imagined, everything changes when he wins over the like-minded Élise with his dreams of a pastoral life together. The two commit to a summer-long journey together in the mountains – with 800 sheep, and all the challenges that come with them.

Long Time Running chronicles the emotional and epic 2016 tour that The Tragically Hip embarked on after iconic frontman Gord Downie announced that he had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Intimate moments, behind-the-scenes and on-stage footage, personal interviews with the band and close friends reveal the heart-breaking final performances of that now-legendary final tour.
